ABOUT RICE ENERGY
Rice Energy is based in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The Rice company was founded in 1951 by the late Meldon F. Rice operating as a home heating oil and gasoline distribution business. The family business experienced continued growth under the direction of Meldon's son, Donald N. Rice from 1959 until 1994. Donald was succeeded by his son, Timothy S. Rice who continued on with the family's tradition of business growth generated by the belief in the strength of people committed to living by a set of core values. This commitment to living by basic values continued to be the foundation by which Rice served its' patrons.
In 2008, Rice Oil and Propane was acquired by Inergy Companies, a national energy business and to further identify as a local company operating under a national umbrella, changed the name from Rice Oil and Propane to Rice Energy in 2009. Rice Energy is using the same guidelines of operation and philosphy as Rice Oil and Propane and will contiinue to offer the very best quality service and products to their customers into the future.
They offer a large fleet of delivery trucks for heating oil, propane and kerosene. Each driver is certified and professionally delivers fuel to your tank in a timely manner. Rice's local office staff is helpful and fuel knowledgable, so when you call the office your question will be answered or your delivery will be scheduled. Rice's installation teams have years of experience and work to finish your job in a safe, timely manner.
They are energy Star partners, offering clean BioHeat, exceptional Propane and are associated with Massachusetts Oil Heat Council and the New England Fuel Institute.
